ABOUT THE 2013 BMW 650I GRAN COUPE
The 2013 BMW 650i Gran Coupe is the launch-year V8 version of the F06 6 Series Gran Coupe, a four-door coupe-styled saloon with frameless windows. It has a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 445 hp and 480 lb-ft, rear-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic. An xDrive all-wheel-drive version and a six-cylinder 640i were also offered.
A new body for 2013
The Gran Coupe joined the two-door 6 Series coupe and convertible for the 2013 model year, giving BMW a direct answer to the Mercedes-Benz CLS. It shares its front-end design with the coupe but has a 2,968 mm wheelbase, around 113 mm longer, which is used to fit two proper rear doors and more legroom. The roofline still slopes steeply, so rear headroom is the main compromise.

With strong mid-range torque from low engine speeds, the 650i Gran Coupe is quick and refined at motorway speeds. It is tuned for comfort and stability more than outright agility; adaptive dampers and active steering were among the options for buyers wanting sharper responses.
Ownership
The V8 is the main concern for used buyers.
