The 2022 Bentley Continental GT Speed is the most powerful version of the third-generation Continental GT coupe. Its 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 was tuned to 641 hp (650 PS) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm), and power reaches all four wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. It is a two-door, four-seat grand tourer.
Launch year of the new Speed
The third-generation GT Speed was revealed in 2021 and reached US buyers as a 2022 model, making this its first full model year. It was the first Continental to combine electronic all-wheel steering with an electronic limited-slip rear differential, and it also got the 48-volt Bentley Dynamic Ride anti-roll system as standard. Bentley quoted a top speed of 208 mph, making it the fastest car in the brand’s range at the time.
Character
The Speed’s gearbox calibration and Sport mode are more aggressive than those of the standard W12, and the rear-biased all-wheel drive gives it a more playful balance on the road. Carbon-ceramic brakes were available as an option. Despite its pace it remains a comfortable long-distance car, with air suspension and a refined, well-insulated cabin.
Ownership
