The 2019 BMW Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe is Alpina’s high-performance take on the four-door 6 Series (F06). Its 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 is tuned by Alpina to 600 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm), and drives all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic with Alpina’s Switch-Tronic shift buttons on the steering wheel.
Alpina’s approach
Alpina, based in Buchloe, Germany, takes BMW-built cars and fits its own engine tuning, suspension, wheels, exhaust and interior trim. Unlike the M6 Gran Coupe, the B6 prioritises effortless torque and ride comfort, with distinctive 20-spoke wheels and optional pinstripe decals. It was sold in the US through BMW dealers, and 2019 was its final year, as the F06 ended production that year.
