The 2021 Bentley Bentayga is the first model year of the facelifted Bentayga, Bentley’s full-size luxury SUV built in Crewe, England. The 2021 update
The Bentayga launched in 2016, and the 2021 update was its biggest revision. It brought a new front end with a larger upright grille and redesigned headlamps, oval tail lights and a full-width tailgate, as well as a wider rear track. Inside, a new 10.9-inch infotainment screen replaced the old unit, and the rear seats were redesigned to give more legroom. The V8 was the main model at launch, with the Bentayga Hybrid and the W12-powered Bentayga Speed also offered.
What it is like
The Bentayga mixes the luxury of a Bentley saloon with genuine all-weather ability. Air suspension is standard, and the optional Bentley Dynamic Ride system uses a 48-volt electric anti-roll system to keep body lean in check. The cabin uses high-quality leather and wood, and five seats are standard, with a seven-seat layout available on some versions.
Buying one today
Check that the air suspension, infotainment and driver-assistance systems work properly, and that servicing has been carried out on schedule by a Bentley dealer or specialist. Tyres and brakes are costly because of the car’s weight.
