ABOUT THE 2025 FERRARI ROMA SPIDER
The 2025 Ferrari Roma Spider is the convertible version of the Roma, a front-mid-engined grand tourer with a 2+ seating layout. It uses Ferrari’s 3.9-litre (3,855 cc) twin-turbocharged V8, rated at 612 hp and 760 Nm (561 lb-ft), driving the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
A fabric roof returns
Unveiled in 2023, the Roma Spider was the first front-engined Ferrari with a fabric roof since the 365 GTS/4 of 1969. The soft top is lighter and more compact than a folding hard top, which helps preserve boot space. A wind deflector is built into the backrest of the rear seats and can be raised at the touch of a button to reduce buffeting at speed.
The 2025 model year
For 2025 the Spider carried on largely unchanged. During that year Ferrari revealed the Amalfi as the successor to the Roma coupe, while the Spider remained the open-air entry point to Ferrari’s V8 range. Ferrari quotes 0–100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).
Practicality and rivals
The small rear seats are best suited to children or extra luggage, but they make the Roma Spider more flexible than a strict two-seater. Rivals included the Aston Martin DB12 Volante, the Bentley Continental GTC, the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 and the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet.
