The 2024 BMW X2 M35i is the high-performance version of the second-generation X2 (U10), which launched for the 2024 model year. An all-new X2
The first X2 was a short, hatchback-like crossover. The new model is longer and adopts a sloping, coupe-style roofline, sharing its platform, interior and drivetrains with the U11 X1. 2024 was its launch year in the US, offered as the xDrive28i and this M35i.
The M35i difference
Beyond the stronger engine, the M35i gains M Sport suspension and brakes, specific bumpers and quad exhaust outlets. The cabin uses the Curved Display, with sports seats and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
Practicality
The fastback shape trims rear headroom and boot opening height compared with the X1, but the larger body means the new X2 is roomier than its predecessor. It is built in Regensburg, Germany.
