ABOUT THE 2011 BMW 328CI XDRIVE
The 2011 BMW 328i xDrive Coupe is the all-wheel-drive version of the E92 3 Series coupe, a two-door, four-seat car. It is powered by the N52 3.0-litre naturally aspirated inline-six with 230 hp and 200 lb-ft. This entry covers the version with the six-speed automatic; a six-speed manual was also offered.
Facelift year
For the 2011 model year the E92 coupe and E93 convertible received their mid-life update. Changes included new headlights, redesigned LED tail lights and reshaped bumpers. The 335i moved to the N55 single-turbo engine at the same time, but the 328i kept its proven naturally aspirated six.
Character and practicality
The coupe shares little bodywork with the saloon: almost every exterior panel is unique. xDrive sends drive to both axles with a rear bias, adding traction in poor weather without dulling the handling much. The rear seats hold two adults for shorter journeys, and the front seatbelts are presented by a motorised arm to ease access.
