ABOUT THE 2022 AUDI Q7 QUATTRO
The 2022 Audi Q7 quattro is a three-row, seven-seat luxury SUV from the second-generation Q7, in its facelifted form. This entry covers the 55 TFSI, whose 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 is rated at 335 hp and 369 lb-ft, with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic and quattro all-wheel drive. A 2.0-litre four-cylinder 45 TFSI was also offered. Audi quoted 0–60 mph in 5.7 seconds for the V6.
Where 2022 sits
The second-generation Q7 launched in the US for 2017 and was substantially updated for 2020, gaining a bolder octagonal grille, a new twin-touchscreen dashboard like the A8’s and the 48-volt electrical system on the V6. The 2022 model is a mid-cycle year, with the line-up of four-cylinder and V6 versions carrying on ahead of a further styling refresh. Like the Q8, the Q7 is built in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Practicality
A third row of seats is standard, which sets the Q7 apart from two-row rivals such as the BMW X5. The third row is best for children or short journeys, but the second row is roomy and slides to share space. With the rear seats folded, the boot is very large. Air suspension and all-wheel steering were available on some versions.

Check the operation of both touchscreens and the driver-assistance systems, and inspect air suspension parts where fitted. A full service history, including transmission fluid changes, is worth looking for.
Rivals
The Q7 competed with the Volvo XC90, BMW X5 and X7, Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLS, and Lincoln Aviator.
